New Arrival
1993 500E

1993 Mercedes-Benz 500E | 40,000 Miles

We have just received this excellent example of a 500E. With only 40,000 original miles, the car is in stunning, like-new condition. It features a brilliant Black Pearl exterior on a complementing Grey Leather interior. Excellent service history, new tires, original spare, all books and keys, etc. Only 498 1993 500Es were sold in the United States at a cost of over $80,000. These cars were hand-built in conjunction with the Porsche 959 Team and featured many characteristics never seen before on a sports sedan. It took eighteen days to complete a single car and Mercedes-Benz lost money on every one they sold. The amount of engineering and attention to detail that went into this car is beyond imagination. Don’t confuse the 500E with any other E-Class of the time; these cars were different in nearly every single fashion. The 500Es 315hp, 5.0L V8 engine will still hold its own against most contemporary high-performance sedans, including Porsche's newest Sedans, the Panamera and Panamera......

1967 230SL

1967 230SL Sold

This all original panel, no accidents, rust-free, low-mileage car was purchased by a local doctor in the summer of 1967 from Auto Engineering, the local Mercedes-Benz dealer in Lexington, MA, at the time. It was purchased by a well-known collector/restorer in the early 2000's. It was serviced by Hatch & Sons during this time period, but due to its originality, the owner decided not to restore it but to keep it as an original survivor car. At that time, it still only had mileage in the low 80's. In 2005, it was sold at the Barrett-Jackson auction in Palm Beach, FL, to another collector with 83,000 original miles on it. In August of 2008, it was sold to the last owner with 85,000 miles on it, a collector who decided to do a complete restoration to the car at a cost of well over $50,000. Unfortunately, he passed away just before it was finished. We purchased it in July of 2011 and are presently finishing the restoration to our high standards. Comes with original books, tools, restoration ......
1969 280SL Roadster

1969 280SL Roadster | 37,942 Miles Sold

It is very seldom that we find an original, low mileage survivor 280SL, but to find two in a row is absolutely amazing. This particular car has a wonderful documented history from new. It was sold new to a lady from Dover, MA, by Foreign Motors in Boston on April 22, 1969. She traded in a 1965 Oldsmobile 442 Convertible on it. She left it to her son on February 29, 1984 with only 20,008 miles. He started bringing it to us for service on May 31, 1988 with 26,790 miles. In the fall of 1989 we purchased it from the son and subsequnetly sold it to a local collector on November 15, 1989 with 27,226 miles on it.

Almost four years later, we bought it back from him on July 28, 1993 with 28,776 miles on it. He only drove it 1,500 miles during that time. We then sold it to a well known collector on August 3, 1993 with 28,780 miles on it.

After 18 years, we just bought it back with only 37,942 miles on it. We have many service records documenting the service and care th......

We just stripped to bare metal and repainted this rust-free, all original panel SL in Sikkens two-stage Eurothane Enamel DB-571 Metallic Red; its stunning and optional rare original color! It was a difficult decision, and as you can see in the before photos, the paint was very nice and would have been fine for most people – however it was not Hatch & Sons quality; but it is now.

The black interior is perfect and original as you would expect in a low mileage example like this. We did refinish the original wood dash trim in the correct satin finish. We also replaced the soft top with correct original G......

Don’t confuse the 500E with any other E-Class of the time; these cars were different in nearly every single fashion. Stock, the 500E produced 322 horsepower and could run the quarter mile at over 100mph. However, this particular long-time Porsche enthusiast wanted it to be a little quicker. To do this, he brought it to RennTech, a well-known Mercedes-Benz tuner. RennTech offered different levels of upgrades for the 500E – this car receiv......
