The GT version is simply a more civilized and comfortable version of the SLR. It is a fine touring automobile. It has the 3.5 engine mated to a factory 3.5 Litre 4-Speed automatic transmission instead of the manual. It also has softer springs and shocks, quieter exhaust system and with the hardtop installed gives a quieter ride. It is built on a US donor chassis while we went for the much cleaner European look on the SLR.
